I just baught an 03 cobra. The car already has cold air intake, better pulley, and a cat back system. That is all the mods i know of. Looking for some general feedback. On the g-tech i have i have gone a best of 12.27 @ 118. Is it possible there is more done to it?

Jared - no solid answers for you. I know that some are getting more HP by putting on X pipes (swapping out the norm for the catted version) but don't know if you'll get that much more out of the car or not.
I too have an 03 Cobra but am just starting to make adjustments. I'm putting on a CAI kit and Mac cat-back system this weekend.
Are you using drag radials? If not, I'd do that next. With a 12.27 time on street tires, you'd tear it up on drag radials (probably in the 11's).
What size pulley do you have on the car now? Also what chip are you using?

Hi guys, I'm getting a '04 Cobra soon. From what I know there are several things that can be done to modify it such as adding a high performance chip, the exhaust of course, a NOS.
I'd like a reccommendation for an upgrade to the super-charger.
According to Ford, the problem that's created is then put onto the "weakest link" meaning any extra horsepower will put pressure on different parts of the car that originally were designed for stock performance, not modified performance.
Anyway, would appreciate any tips or comments regarding this.
Best regards,
Sam

you're right about the x-pipe. I ran one on my 67 galaxie and it really made a difference. About 25 horses, and the sound is way better. It's quieter, but richer. And you can brag about it to your buddies, most of whom will have no idea what you are talking about.

One of the 'Ford' magazine's did an article on swaping the blower out for a Vortech and made well over 500hp, like 514 or 540 or something, compared to before the blower, just the normal stuff like you mentioned on yours, it had around 440 or something--not sure exactly because I don't have the article in front of me, but it was a big increase. The G-Tech thing isn't really that accurate but will give you something to go on-- I guess--they generally read a little fast/quick. If you can find a computer programer you could bye-pass or raise your top speed though, from a limited 155mph to something higher(like you would really need to).

thanks for the advise. as far as the pulley all the mods were done before i got it but i believe it to be a 3.0 pulley because it pegs the boost gauge out over the 10 psi. thanks to everyone for the advise.
