Alright. I have read articles in the MM&FF mag. I know that this is old news. Actually the 2 articles that was done on street racing. To be honest with you. I think that the articles was done the way that anybody would do it. Yes we all know that street racing is illegal and seriously dangerous. I thought that the article was pretty damn cool.
I use to street race myself, but now i go the the track, actually it is the midnight madness here at the clarksville speedway. It is Pro-Tree, NO BRACKET CRAP... And yes those of us that actually use the track for our need for speed see some pretty bad ass cars. My track here is an 1/8th mile. I have seen everything from 11.00 second hondas, to 5.20 second Fox chassis mustangs. It is awesome.
Do you know where the most powerful cars are at though. They are the ones that get behind you at your local taco bell, parked next to you at the mall, hell sitting next to you at the stop light. This is the reason that i really liked the articles. because it covers the cars that dont go to the track. You know there is no need in a linching of the writers. The call it as they go. I have looked at the response that they have received some props, but mostly complaints about the articles. I liked the articles and hope to see more of them. Because this is how most of our lives have started in the racing scene. ( Not becase of the Fast and the fictional movies ) It is because out grandfather, father, and now you have built a car and more than likely it is not for track purposes. It is for your own gratification that you and maybe 1 friend knows that you have 1000 RWHP. And are waiting for the corvette, Gto, Charger, Challenger, ( Rumored ) Camero. And best of all The freaking import trash.
So lets build those mustangs and take it to them. Better at the track. But if you get that smart ass with a turbo Scion revving up at you at the red light, make sure he reads the back bumper.. MUSTANG
Thanks for listening to my rambling.

id have to agree with all this. people talking crap to the writers about there articles involving street racing giving this bull about it being stupid and irresponsible well they need to face the fact as long as there are cars, there is always going to be street racing there is no need in fighting it because it will never go away. so for all the gay people out there that think street racing is stupid and dangerous well it is stupid risky and dangerous but there is no need in fighting it because it is the American way and u all need to accept it.

I completely agree with both of them. Street racing is what got my interest sparked. My father is what kept it alive and hating cameros and rice burners is what fuels my love of mustangs. Well that along with the fact that my cars my baby. Street racing will never die no matter how dangerous it is simply because either we will go somewhere else and do it or because street racing gives us the adrenaline rush that so many of us long for.

I really love cars.. And of course racing. I use to have a 2001 Nissan Maxima 20th anniversary edition with a full on Stillen system from super charger to brembo brakes...the car was bad ass... then my next car was a 1989 Mustang gt. ( can you say full on WOOD ) Man i loved this car.. I had it for a few years and finally got tired of repairing things all the time, so i sold the lady and purchased my darling i have now which is a 2001 mustang GT.
I got into the street racing scene when i had the maxima, ( Ex wife wanted a Maxima so i figured i would make it somthing i wouldnt mind driving ) I will have to say, that car was no slouch...I beat just about everything out there ( Except for real muscle ) import wise, unfortunately i did beat a few stock mustangs, and camaros. but then i was being the target for the real cars ( naming the mustang ) So guess what i did. I got a mustang... The reason that i did this was because in high school i wanted a mustang really bad. I graduated in 1992 and we all know what legendary car was there. the good ole FOX mustang. Man i wanted one.
It wasnt till i got divorced that i could get me one. So i purchased a 1989 at a Buy here pay here lot. the car was in awesome shape for 2500.00 so then came the mods. And then Midnight madness here at the local drag strip here in Clarksville, tn. I won some and of course lost some. Then luckily enough i was more financially stable so i sold the ole girl and purchased the 2001 that i have now. I love the mustang always have and always will.
I am so glad that i got divorced just so i could get the car that i wanted.
