Hey everyone i finally got my stang bout 2 weeks ago and there are som bugs that need to be worked out so help me out if you can thanks. ok its a 93 gt prettty much stock except for a full dynomax exhaust minus the cats and a BBK cold air intake it idles smooth but between 1000-1200 rpms she runs rough then she comes out of it. I have cleaned the throttle body, replaced the TP sensor , wires , rotor and cap with no results. Could the egr valve cause this rough idle? Thanks in advance

That could...it cant hurt to take it off...clean it out good...and re-install it. Just be sure to get new gaskets to reinstall it...they will only cost you like $1. I would also remove and clean/replace the Idle Air control valve...or IAC. This could be the culprit also. Be careful removing it, b/c you cant usually buy these gaskets seperately at the auto store UNLESS you buy a whole new IAC valve. Thats your call. Mr86GT

Anyone ever hear of setting the TPS while the car is running at idle? I have always set it with the key on, but the car off. Just recently picked up a jumper wire that works really well to allow me to set the TPS and I don't have to pierce the TPS' wires. However, the instructions that came with the jumper clearly indicate that the TPS should be set (between .96 - .98volts) with the car running at idle and the IAC disconnected. I haven't tried it yet, but looks like I will this weekend. I usually set my TPS to .994-.998 with the car off.
