I just recently purchased the 06 Mustang GT.  I want to purchase aftermarket performance parts but I do not want to void my warranty on the vehicle.  I am interested in such parts as; shorty headers, x-pipe with cat conv, flowmaster axle-back exhaust, cold air induction, BBK throttle body, etc.

But like I said, I do not want to void my warranty on this car.  Does anyone have a list of items that will not void the warranty of these great new beasts!?

read the warranty very carefully  any time you put after market parts on your warranted car can come back to bite you inthe ass. if you can pick up may or junes issue of 5.0 mustang. there is an article about what to expect if you do put aftermarket parts on your new car  

Aftermarket parts voiding your factory warranty is a myth!!

You need to read of up on the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act.

It was designed to protect customers from this very problem. Clearly states that an aftermarket performance part cannot void any part of your vehicles factory warranty....unless it is proven that the actual part installed is the cause of any problem. However, some dealerships have the right to choose to not work on a vehicle with aftermarket products.

I suggest asking others in your area where you can find an "aftermarket friendly dealership", they do exist, ask around.
