No more SVT or Lightning??? NO!!!!!!!!!!

Hey All, this goes out to Jim Campisano!!!
Come on Campy, give us the straight story... If anyone knows or has the connections to verify the rumors, I know you can...
On several message boards there are rumors that the SVT Lightning's been shelved indefinitely, and that SVT is being disbanned!!! What the heck is going on inside of FORD??? Other rumors have said that Ford will outsource the Cobra production to either Saleen, Roush, or Steeda... That is of course if there is another Cobra run...  It's said that John Colletti has taken a position with Ford Racing, and the successor for SVT vehicles is a guy from the Jaguar division... I can't help but feel a little betrayed by Ford... I'm a 99 Cobra owner myself, and I was looking forward to buying the next generation Cobra, but now I'm not feeling very confident that Ford is actually going to commit and make the vehicle to the performance standards and levels seen under John Coletti's direction. Finally when it looks as if Mustangs will finally have a bead on the Corvette's and the possibility of smoking Vipers with a possible V-10 powered Boss edition, Ford bean counters yank the carpet our from under us... Why are Ford performance enthusiasts always being jerked around like this??? What did we do to deserve this treatment?  I feel bad for the Lightning owners who have been promissed for months that the next Lightning will re-capture the crown as the fastest production truck, only to learn that there may not be another Lightning... Look at the thousands of loyal Lightning owners... The media buzz Ford created over the next Lightning is absolutely rediculous!!! Now they aren't going to do it??? Ford is starting to show how loyal it truly is to it's customers... Campy please dispell the rumors, and print the truth in your next issue of MM&FF...

If you can find out from ford why that is happening ask them why they are selling off the Cosworth engine company.

well from what i heard on Trucks the T.V. show,   Ford has a new lighting coming out to stomp all over the R/T 10 dogde has. But that all that was told. they wouldn't say anymore.   So as far as I know  long live the lighting!
