I'm rebuilding the 5.0L in my 89 LX and i want to eliminate the air pump and EGR system, There are no emissions requirements here so its not a problem.  My questions regard the vacumm type lines running to two different areas on the hoses that go rearward to the exhaust system i have eliminated the piping but am not sure what to do with the small lines, they run up into the rear passenger corner of the engine compertment.

Also how do i go about eliminating the egr, there is also a vacumm line going tothe valve what do i do with it.

There is also a vacumm line running fromt he rear fo the intake and goes to the same block as all the rest of the lines ive mentioned, what so i do with these now, please please please help, I've rattled my brain for days and cant seem to think of a good solution, any help HUGELY appreciated

I am going through the same thing and all I am thinking of pinching the air tubes  together and welding it shut. as far as the egr goes, please let me know if you find out anything about it, I would like to get rid of the egr myself..
