I have been rebuilding an 85 351 windsor out of a Bronco to transplant into my 89 mustang. I have completed the rebuild and I am having problems figuring out what to do with the distributor. I wanted to keep it simple and use an older one wire hook up but the problem is that the oil pump driveshaft on older engines is smaller than the later models. I have mocked up a driveshaft to go from the smaller hex to the larger hex but i am afraid that it will shear under a load. I was wondering if anyone knew of an adapter or an easy solution to my problem.
