Whats going on fellas.  I have a problem with my 89 mustang lx 5.0.  I have a terrible leak coming from my sunroof.  I think my seals need to be replaced but I think its something else also.  Is there any way that the drains could get clogged up or anything.  I not only have water coming from around my latch I also have water leaking down from under my dash.  But not by the floor board.  Closer to my door.  I even think water is going into my passenger door because my passenger door speaker has stopped playing.  If I don't get it fixed soon it will ruin my interior.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks

Yes, there is a hose that runs from the sunroof along the front windshield frame, and should come out inside the front fender close to the ground.  I'm sure after 16 yrs that it's probably clogged.

You may want to pull the headliner down as well and inspect things. The drains that are in the sunroof channel outside the car run inside and then down the A-pillars. Using some compressed air will usually clear them out, but they could be leaking. The front to tabs that hold the sunroof in can also leak so check them. If you pull the headliner down, have someone hose the car down with you inside it and see if you can trace the leaks.

My 89 was doing the same thing. I replaced the sunroof seals but that didnt seem to fix it. Open the passenger door and brace yourself against the inside of the door and pull the top of the door toward you slightly bending it in. The top of my door was pulled out just enough to allow water to leak in and drip onto the passenger seat. I have new door seals also. This is also a good fix for wind noise. Hope this helps.
