anyone have any tips on installing a convertible top,ive got a used top that came with frame and hydrolics installed but the hooks are about two inches from windshield,i left all mounting bolts and canvas anchors loose but didnt want to force it and risk ripping the top,any help would sure be appreciated,thanks

just curious...
are you using the hydraulic top motor to close the top and its falling short..
or are you manually pulling it forward... with the motor removed and the lines from the motor hooked together with a 5/16 inverted flair union so you don't spill any liquid out.. you can also find 5/16 inverted flair plugs... to stop the pump from leaking while the lines are disconnected..
usually with the mounting brackets loose.. you can rock the whole assembly forward... to get it to catch... then you tighten the mounting brackets..
