I have a 93 coupe and was taking a roll cage out and must have hit something underneath because the trunk fell and now can't seem to figure out how to fix it where it will stay up. Has this happened to anyone else or can anyone help me fix it? I would appreciate any help

there is usually a set of crossed springs between the hinges and the hinge brackets that act like torsion bars to hold the hinges and the trunk lid upward...
this is not the easiest thing to reload..
please... mark and remove the trunk latch.. when working on this.. so the trunk will NOT LOCK CLOSED. i have had a few friends get trapped in their trunks when attempting to figure this out...
yep... some of my friends are ... not firing on all cylinders... this is usually on other cars than mustangs...
