there are 3 screws thru rubber bushings to mount it..
2 hoses..
1 electrical connector..
a question..
do you have the V6 motor or the V8...
did you just get a code for the air injection pump????? if so.. which code..???? just because there is a code... does not mean to start replacing parts... unless you have a fat wallet... there are charts that go with every diagnostic trouble code to prove the part is bad.. or not..
you will want to read page 11 out of the 55 pages on this ford info booklet..
http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/diagnostics/pdf/obdsm99b.pdf
here is part of it.. this is NOT a service manual.. this is HOW the system works.. and this is to be used WITH the service manual info...
The secondary air system utilizes an electric air pump as well as one or two electrically controlled check valves to deliver air into the exhaust manifold. The AIR pump flow check monitors the HO2S signal at idle to determine if secondary air is being delivered into the exhaust system. The air/fuel ratio is commanded open-loop rich, the AIR pump is turned on and the time required for the HO2S signal to go lean is monitored. If the HO2S signal does not go lean within the allowable time limit, a low/no flow malfunction is indicated. (P0411) The electric air pump draws high current and must be energized through a separate relay. Both the primary and secondary circuits are checked for opens and shorts. First, the output driver within the PCM (primary circuit) is checked for circuit continuity (P0412). This circuit energizes the relay and the control valve(s). Next, a feedback circuit from the secondary side of the relay to the PCM is used to check secondary circuit continuity (P1413, P1414).

Lovingtragidy:
If your going to do a lot of the reapairs on your Mustang yourself. I suggest purchasing a service manual. Haynes at any good auto supply house.
Or this website is very good for all us gear heads. www.cartechbooks.com.
